Writing an article does not mean just expressing thoughts in words, then writing and writing it. You have to capture the interest of your readers and get them to keep reading.
To deliver your message, you must grab the reader’s attention and have a firm understanding of their interest and curiosity.
The main ingredient in creating an article is a great deal of creativity. While creativity can come naturally to many people, some just crash or something like that can drive someone crazy.
Many writers have literally pulled their hair out when writers crash and can’t seem to get their creative juices flowing.
Turning words into images in the minds of readers is an art.
A clear and sharp description requires a certain style that only creativity can provide.
Similes and metaphors help a lot, but the way an article is woven word by word, sentence by sentence, and then paragraph by paragraph into a full article develops the essence of the article.
So what do you have to do when nothing comes to mind? There are no foolproof ways to get the perfect ideas, but there are easy ways to get your creativity flowing.
No one can guarantee that you have the perfect mindset, but many methods can help you achieve that state of mind. Here are five easy ways to do it.
1) Keep a journal or journal with you always.
Ideas can be triggered by anything you can hear, see, or smell.
Your senses are your radar to find great ideas. Write them all in a journal and keep it for future reference.
You can also write down anything you have read or heard, someone’s ideas could be used to develop your own ideas and this is not theft.
Remember that ideas and creativity can come from anywhere; it is the development of the idea that makes it unique.
2) Relax and take some time to fix things.
A confused mind cannot create any space for new ideas. Everyone must have a clear mind if you want to get your creativity going.
Remove all the obstacles that may hinder your creativity. If something is bothering you, you cannot force your mind to stay focused.
Try to relax whenever you can and think about your experiences and interactions with others.
Your experiences are what shape your way of thinking and your opinions that could be reflected in your writings.
Try to discover yourself, find out what triggers your emotions. Find out what inspires you and what makes you angry. You can use these emotions to help you express yourself and your ideas, with this you can grow creatively.
3) Create a workplace that can inspire your creativity.
Your workplace can be a huge obstacle if it doesn’t make you feel happy or relaxed.
Creativity comes from being in a good frame of mind and a distracting, cluttered workplace will not be conducive to activating your creative flow.
Surround your workplace with objects that make you happy and relaxed.
You can place pictures, scents, objects that inspire, or anything that can get your creativity going. A clean and well-organized workplace also prevents unwanted distractions and obstacles.
With a good workplace, you can work in peace and never notice time passing.
4) Set the mood.
Setting the mood requires you to let yourself be carried away or to induce yourself to feel what makes your mind work best.
Finding out what turns you on could help you find ways to get your creativity flowing. Set the pace and tempo of your mood and everything else will follow.
There are many ways to set the mood. Some writers have been known to use alcohol, a small sip of wine to spark the imagination. Some would like some background music, while others let the ambient lighting set the mood.
5) Go on a getaway and do something other than crazy.
Letting go and having fun produces adrenaline that can blow your imagination.
Take an adventure or a solemn walk. Anything that is unusual in your daily routine can remove the routine from your schedule. In no time, your creativity will draw on that experience and get your imagination racing.
