What is a P2P program<\/a>? Why do you need one? What are they for? These three were some of the first questions that popped into my mind when I saw the title of this article.<\/p>\n A P2P program is a way to download different programs<\/a>, multimedia files, video images, anything in digital format that is shared from one user to another.<\/p>\n Why would you need a P2P program? Well, have you ever looked for a way to download<\/a> any of the files mentioned above? A P2P program is the safest and easiest way to do it.<\/p>\n All you need to know is the title or description of what you are looking for, such as programs, e-books, or music<\/a>, and the time to download it. There is a great list of P2P programs<\/a> available, some free, like my favorite Limewire, while others charge a fee to use their service.<\/p>\n You need to be careful when deciding which program to use, as some of them are charged for and may put other programs on your computer<\/a> that you would not normally allow.<\/p>\n For example, you remembered when you downloaded that great screensaver and a new search bar was installed in your Internet Explorer, or now you get pop-ups<\/a> where you didn’t before due to some program added to your system.<\/p>\n Another thing to keep in mind is that although they say that it is free to download and burn to disc, this is not necessarily true.<\/p>\n I used a program once and it said you can burn your downloads for free however when it was time to burn them to disk. The CD<\/a> would not be burned because a license key was required for the program itself.<\/p>\n When it comes to searching for programs, you have to look at how you put things, or you could end up with a list of items that you didn’t want or need.<\/p>\n If you know the name of the program and who created it, you should find what you are looking for. Some of these programs have advanced search options.<\/p>\n With advanced search<\/a>, you need to know not only the name and who created the program, but also the year it was made and the operating system it is running.<\/p>\n A common search is for music files<\/a>, with these, the more you know, the better luck you will have in finding them.<\/p>\n If you just type the name of the song, you could end up with covers or remixes that you may not have been looking for.<\/p>\n
